A new road side park is being developed at Corporation Road, Perungudi, under the Namakku Naame scheme. The park is being constructed by the Greater Chennai Corporation at an estimated cost of ₹1.5 crore. The park will have a variety of features, including a children's play area, a walking track, a senior citizens' corner, and a herbal garden.
The park is expected to be completed in the next six months. It will be a boon to the residents of Perungudi and the surrounding areas, who have been longing for a green space in their locality. The park will also help to improve the air quality and reduce noise pollution in the area.
